Anti-Climacus

Now, I didn't particularly like Cloud Atlas, but what I've seen of the filming, it appears one of the genuinely surprising parts of the book is given straight away: it's supposed to gradually occur to you that the protagonist of each situation might be the same person, but it's never directly stated and the details that might lead you to think that are peripheral. In the film, all the protagonists are going to be Tom Hanks, which should underline this for even the dullest of viewers. Typical Hollywood...
