The Facebook was very kind to me this weekend, giving me both the most horrifying lecture I've heard of, and also this recipe for cookies+brownies+oreos (which were delicious, thanks to the baking skills of someone (not me) who was planning on making cookies anyway and so had all the ingredients already).
More importantly, both links came from people I've met through IHS, which is just one of the many ways it can enrich your life as an academic.
