One last blog-related word on Penn State. I'm in full agreement with Andy Staples on this one: there were adults in the room, they acted, and that's the end of the Penn State angle, at least for me. What they did was exemplary in a very notable way: the integrity of their institution and the values it represents was more important than any person, no matter their stature. Everyone involved was fired in less than a week (except Mike McQueary, who I suspect will never coach anywhere again after this season). In this respect I think Penn State serves as the ultimate model of how to respond to a child sex abuse crisis. Which, given the circumstances on Sunday, is a pretty remarkable thing to be able to say.
