Anti-Climacus

I commend to you all TNC's post on the merits of rail travel. It's unfortunate that there isn't more commercially available rail in the US, because I would be more inclined to use it. As it is, there's no way to get from Durham to anywhere without first going through DC and waiting for a connecting train. If I wanted to go to my top-secret Thanksgiving destination by train, it would take more than a day. That's not feasible, especially when the alternative is 'car' and therefore 'not that long.'
