The libertarians have gotten to me, an ongoing series:
In Target earlier this evening to buy more allergy medication (I am bouncing between animal-filled houses at the moment, and I am sometime allergic to pets). Two options, 45 pills for $13 or 70 for $20. Unable to do quick math to determine which was the better deal, I pulled out my phone and figured out the per-pill cost. Bought the 70, which was three-tenths of a cent cheaper, because it was cheaper. I am turning into a rational actor.

Not sure if that's so much "libertarians" as "economists" (or maybe Ben Franklin!) getting to you. Then again in political science circles there's a lot of overlap...
Well, biographically, I encountered serious economics through libertarians. IHS can count this one as a victory, I think.
