I would like to be able to claim, dear readers, that my absence from this blog was for an appropriately frivolous reason like Mad Men now being available on Netflix Instant. Alas, I spent the day putting the finishing touches on phase one of the move. The movers come this morning and take away all the big stuff, and I am left with a carload and the things I still have to throw away.
But I was reminded that sometime in college I realized the following, which wisdom I now pass on to you:
At some point in every move, no matter how carefully planned, you will feel like the Joad family. And probably look like them, too.
