File under 'small complaints of academic life:'

Princeton's email system is the worst I have ever used, with the possible exception of AOL in, like, 1996.* The search function is slow and doesn't work properly; no matter how you attempt to customize the interface it snaps back to normal the next time you log in; and once a week or so the system will freeze in the middle of sending an email. If it were not a princeton.edu address I would never use it.

*As a short-term employee I can only access it through the web interface. Ranking the rest: gmail, Eudora, Apple's email program, PINE command-line email, the old umich.edu interface, hotmail, AOL/Princeton.

Pine? That brings back some memories. Maybe I'll install it just for only times sake.

PINE was great. Now I think I'll log on to Wolverine Access just for kicks too.
