Preparing a longer-ish post on whether humanitarian intervention is the proper response to the crisis in Libya (answer: probably not). In the meantime:

* Rick Santorum: fuzzy on the history of the Crusades.

* Aside from the fact that this post on The Big Chill is about 500 words and 30 pictures, it makes a fine point about the movie. I saw it for the first time a year or two into graduate school and hated it because, as Johnny Rotten said, "never trust a hippie." I saw it again last year and my opinion had basically reversed: I still don't care much for the shattered idealism, but I think it honestly captures what it's like to be far out from one's college experience.

* The set for The King's Speech evidently had other uses (probably NSFW, but not lewd or anything).
