Because if you are talking about music, then let me throw Amadeus in the ring.
About rock and roll, certainly (though one might have to throw in This is Spinal Tap).
About music in general, I may be prepared to defer to your suggestion, but I think they're both strongly in the running.
Either way, though, it's odd that they both came out in the same year.
