Anti-Climacus

LINK: The Onion's AV Club has a good appreciation of The Triplets of Belleville. When I saw the movie, I didn't think that much of it (reflected, perhaps, because it was a midnight showing and shortly after I had come to Duke). There were certain things I liked: the loving depiction of professional cycling (it helped that I saw it at the apex of my own love for cycling), the offbeat style and humor; but the tone overall seemed too dark. Having had time to think more about it, I think I like it better than I did then: I'll have to netflix and find out.
