THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Amidst a number of projects: the key defining feature of a mix cd, as opposed to a mixtape, is the transition between the last song and the first. On a cassette, each side is self-contained; they should relate, but only in the linear manner the format requires of its listeners. There's a beginning and an end. When making a cd, however, one has to anticipate that the cd will begin again once it has finished (this is a common feature of car cd players--it's been forever since I've listened to a cd in anything else), and so design the whole thing to curve back in on itself...
